Message to our patients regarding COVID-19- updated 6-19-2020
We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and are in frequent communication with our local Public Health Department, the CDC and Infectious Disease specialists.
In order to be able to continue to provide appropriate quality medical care, while keeping everyone as safe and comfortable in our office, we are developing a modified check in procedure for all patients.
Please inform us of your arrival at the office by either calling us from the parking lot or by quickly entering and letting the front desk know that you are here. You may then wait in your car until an exam room is available. Staff will inform you and you will be taken directly to the exam room after having your temperature taken and a screening performed. If your family has been exposed to a lab confirmed positive case consider the STATE RUN COMMUNITY TESTING SITES, by logging onto LHI.care/covidtesting or call 888-634-1123 to schedule a covid test.
Certain rooms have been designated for well visits only.
If possible, please have only one caregiver come to your child’s appointment. We ask that additional family members and siblings not come if at all possible especially if they have symptoms. Please inform us if other family members are sick.
We will be offering video visits starting 3/23/2020. These will be scheduled and billed in the same way as regular visits. Normal copays will also apply.
Please understand that certain conditions cannot be managed remotely. Our staff and doctors will make those determinations.
Our office is deep cleaned nightly. Surfaces in the exam rooms are wiped down with medical grade cleaning wipes between patient and physicians are utilizing masks and gloves.
We have removed toys and books from our rooms for the time being. We also recommend washing hands or using alcohol based hand sanitizer after leaving the office.
